Combining Jumu`ah Prayer with `Asr Prayer for a person traveling at the time of Jumu`ah Prayer
Q 2: What is the ruling on combining Jumu`ah (Friday) Prayer with `Asr (Afternoon) Prayer for a person traveling at the time of Jumu`ah Prayer? May Allah reward you well!
A: It is not permissible to combine `Asr Prayer with Jumu`ah Prayer as the former differs from the latter in form as mentioned in the book "Sharh Al-Muntaha", and other books. The same ruling has been issued by His Eminence, Shaykh Muhammad ibn Ibrahim the Mufty (Islamic scholar qualified to issue legal opinions) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (may Allah be merciful to him).May Allah grant us success.
